The Gramercy Park Hotel, established in 1925 and frequented by notable figures like JFK, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, and Madonna, has seen various visual changes over its almost century-long existence. Unfortunately, it faced bankruptcy in 2020, leading to its closure and abandonment.
In August 2023, news broke that the hotel was bought and set to reopen in the future. Recognizing this opportunity, the goal for this project is to create a new visual brand identity that respects the historical essence of the building and its neighborhood, while also aligning with the modern landscape of New York City. The rebranding aims to blend the hotel’s timeless charm with the city’s contemporary essence.
